Wash the turmeric and ginger (if using); there’s no need to peel them.
Peel the bananas.
Combine all smoothie ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until luxuriously smooth.
Pour into your favorite glass and sprinkle with desiccated coconut, ground turmeric, or pepper for an extra touch of elegance.The smoothie will keep in the fridge for up to three days, but it will thicken up.

*You can play with the liquid to get to your desired consistency; try taking the amount of water up to make the smoothie runnier.**If your bananas are not uber sweet, you can add 1-2 soft dates, or 1-2 tablespoons of your sweetener of choice.
