Just like in January, I'm rounding up the little joys that made this month extra fun. Cozy, quirky, weird, and wonderful—because celebrating the good stuff (big or small) makes life better. I call them my monthly delights. Here are the ones for February '25.
How was February for you? Mine was a mix of bright, warm, fluffy, and seriously cold things. That last one was a total thrill. Dunking my feet in the Baltic Sea kind of thrill. Here are my February highlights …

1. Crocus Colors
Every year, these little bursts of color surprise me. At the side entrance of Schwetzingen Palace Park, where I walk often, someone planted rows and rows of them. Yellow, purple, orange, and white, spaced perfectly apart, stretching for a kilometer. Pure enchantment.
2. Bye-Bye, Christmas Decor
Some people pack up their Christmas decorations on December 26. Others wait until January 6. I go with my gut. One year, our holiday lights stayed up until Easter. Not that I need an excuse ... but it was a gloomy winter, and they made things brighter.
This year spring fever hit early. The fairy lights, ornaments, and Merry Christmas banner are all packed away. Feels like a fresh start.
3. The Wellness Scoop Podcast
Mondays just got better. That’s when a new episode of The Wellness Scoop drops. I’ve been a Deliciously Ella (aka Ella Mills) fan forever—her blog, app, snacks, Instagram posts, and now the podcast. She and the nutritionist Rhiannon Lambert chat about wellness trends, sleepless nights, imposter syndrome, the stuff that actually matters. Informative and entertaining (I feel like I'm sitting in a cozy café with two good friends).
Also, they debunked the whole seed oil and oat milk panic (episodes from Feb 17 and Jan 27). My beloved rapeseed oil (healthier than olive oil, say what?) and my morning oat milk lattes are safe.
4. Super Soups
Early February was frosty, which meant one thing: soup season. A hearty Polish Kapusniak (sauerkraut soup, surprisingly delicious) from byanjushka was a total win.
I also made a few of ElaVegan’s soups. Anything with potatoes or creamy veggies is a solid choice. The lasagna soup is still on my list.
5. Japanese-Style Cinnamon Slippers
Not actually from Japan, but the design is very Japanese Geta. Ever heard of cinnamon flip-flops? I discovered them years ago and now wear nothing else at home. Sturdy bamboo soles infused with cinnamon (soft scent, so good). They claim to absorb sweat and regulate temperature (amazing in summer). My third pair just arrived, and I’m in love. They last a few years, but I wear mine constantly, so eventually, the soft straps break or the soles wear down. Time for fresh footwear!

They're available from various sellers, but I always get them from my favorite eco-online store, Avocadostore.de. Check out their different designs—flip flops or slippers—available in various colors.
6. Fluffy Towels
The old ones had to go. They were decades old, which says a lot about quality, but they’d reached that stage where they smelled weird even fresh out of the wash. Time for an upgrade.
Found gorgeous organic towels on Avocadostore (these are the ones I bought). Soft. Fluffy. Smell like nothing but clean, fresh air. Love them.
7. Sellpy: Second-Hand Buying & Selling
Do you know Sellpy? It's a secondhand platform that operates across Europe. The cool part is you can buy and sell without lifting a finger. Send them a bag of stuff, and they handle the rest—sorting, photographing, listing, selling. I loooove using it.
This month, I got a box of secondhand workout clothes (because a 28-day fitness challenge requires a lot of outfit changes, hehe - more on this, hopefully, in the next monthly delights post).
And I sent off a Sellpy bag of my own. Decluttering and making a little extra cash = win-win. If you're interested, read about how you can sell.
8. Mini Getaway & Frosty Foot Dips
For the first time in over a decade, my parents, husband, and I went on a little trip together. Just three days, but they were perfect. Cold, fresh, and packed with seaside walks.
My highlight? Dipping our feet into the freezing sea. Ice on the water’s edge, air so crisp it made us giddy with joy. We almost backed out, but the adrenaline rush was worth it. Running around shrieking and pure, sheer joy!
9. Green Tea Tasting
A gift box of different green teas reminded me how fun it is to try new flavors. I drink green tea several times a week, but I usually stick to Sencha or Jasmine. This time, I discovered Pi Lo Chun. No clue how to pronounce it, but it’s fantastic. Oh, and Lung Ching is a good one too—in German, it’s called 'Drachenbrunnentee' (dragon fountain tea), which sounds so poetic!
If you want to sample some too, I can recommend my favorite online tea shop in Germany, Tee-Handelskontor Bremen. Their Genießerkollektion Nr. 3 is all about green tea.
10. Funky Jam Flavors
Are you team sweet or team savory at breakfast? In Germany, jam on toast is a weekend favorite. I never really got into it, but on sleep-deprived mornings, a slice of white toast with margarine and fruity jam just hits right. I usually go for orange or strawberry—I love the ones from the Italian brand Rigoni di Asiago, any flavor is a win. You can find them on Amazon if you're curious (for strawberry jam there are also other great organic brands).
When I spot an unusual flavor, I can't resist, especially on fun vacation shopping tours (see #8). This month’s find: a sea buckthorn and elderberry jam. So good.
Next up: March! 🌸
If you're in the mood to chat: What was special about your February?
Wishing you planty of springy delights,
Ramona
